Q and A!! How fun!! Just wanted to tell you that love your blog and you are so creative and inspiring! I have a 2 year old and a 5 month old. I stay home with them and do monogramming on the side. I hope to increase the amount i'm doing, but its hard with little one's to find any extra time. so.... here are my questions.......
ReplyDelete1.How do you manage to find the time to do your sewing and related business stuff?
2. Any tips on doing a craft show?
Great idea! I love reading your blog...you have such great crafty ideas! I also love sewing, cooking, and basically any 'crafting'. I have a 12, 8, and 2 year old, and next year I'm planning to homeschool. Sooo, here's my question...
ReplyDeleteHow do you balance homeschooling, household chores, Mommy stuff, AND crafty fun? What's your typical day's schedule look like?
Happy birthday to your blog! My question is how old were you when you started sewing? And how did you get to be so good at it? I'm still learning (I just started about a year ago) and sometimes I feel like I'm too old to learn since most people start as a child :(
ReplyDeleteHAPPY, HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY!!!
ReplyDeleteI am going to think of some questions for such a seasoned blogger!
Have FUN!
Joyce
how do find inspiration? love ya!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! I just think you are the most creative, funnest, coolest blogger!
ReplyDeleteMy question is this -- how did you learn how to sew? Did you always like sewing or did you learn to do it later?
Thanks!
XOXO
Jen
who's your favorite sister-in-law?
ReplyDeleteI am currently 9 months pregnant. I am having a baby boy at the end of April and already dreading the day I will have to return to work after maternity leave. I would love to be a stay at home mom and be able to have my own business to help contribute to the family finances. I have a lot of ideas, but I just don't know how to get started. What advice can you give me? How did you get started? Any books you suggest I read? Would love to know how you suggest I get started!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your daily inspiration!
I love reading your blog and follow it religiously!
ReplyDeleteI would love to sew. I have dreams of throw pillows and drapes. I have thought about it for years and want to make it a reality. What kind of sewing machine would you recommend for a newbie?

how long did it take you to learn to sew? I've always had an interest..how often do you sew?
ReplyDeleteYou homeschool right? I do and it's all I can do to exercise 4 times a week, homeschool, and do a little blogging....SO behind on scrapbooking...
just wondering how you fit it all in....
YES, YES, YES! I asked for this, and you delivered! Therefore, i am going to try to do ten question! :)
ReplyDelete1. do you plan on having more children?
2. have we seen every room in your house!?!? if not, can we :)
3. how do you stay so fit and thin?
4. what are top ten things you couldn't live without?
5. where are your favorite places to shop for your own clothes?
6. i also want to know when you started sewing, and any advice you have for beginners!
7. did nicole and her family move back into the home that they left??
8. what are the stories behind each of your children's names?
9. did you go to college? if so, what did you study?
10. what are your top five parenting "tips"?
i'm so excited for this!!!
jessie :)
My burning question: Do you zig zag or serge the ends of your ruffles? As in, the ones on the book covers. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSeems like everyone else is asking my question: How do you find the time to homeschool AND sew? I can't seem to find the time and I don't homeschool!
ReplyDeleteFun blog! I love that you homeschool and manage to fit in all the sewing and crafts too. I just don't like the mess crafting makes . . . probably because my kids are always making a mess somewhere in our house! My girls would craft with me all day but my boys they want to be out in the dirt :).
ReplyDeleteGreat idea...
ReplyDeletedid you design your blog yourself? and if so- would you mind sharing how you added the cute frames and the sidebar design that used to be there (where did it go? I loved it!) Thanks!
Hi Lindsay! I just wanted to let you know that you were mentioned on my blog yesterday. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog... I have followed for a while, but don't post very often. As a business owner and blogger, time is always an issue. We do what we can, when we can.
ReplyDeleteI am a kindred spirit in that I love to sew, (have since I was 6), to create daily, love my Lord, and try to be a good mommy (mine are 14 and 19).
When do you do most of your blogging? I am still trying to find the balance of blogging while still wearing all of the hats of owning a business and running a home.
There really isn't a perfect solution is there?
Gussy wants to know: What is your favorite brownie recipe? ;)
ReplyDeleteu are standing in line at a bookstore, what are you buying?
ReplyDeletei guess i would like some more helpful information on how to "redo" furniture! i loved the tutorial on the door that you turned into framework for your bathroom....i want to know more about that! should you use only certain types of paint? sand first? paint over? brush or roller? i want more! i want more! : )
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I'm curious how you started your posies. Was it just something you dreamed up or were you inspired by it, both?!?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your blog and am so envious of your awesome talent! I'm so looking forward to checking out your blog next week and all I ask is.....will you please continue to do what you do and host giveaways, discounted prices, etc. because I LOVE your stuff!

What are your favorite blogs to follow? I love your blog- it really inspires me to be creative! :)
ReplyDeleteOkay. I ask this question everytime I see q&a posts :)
ReplyDeleteHow did you decide on your children's names?
I am obsessed with names - LOL!!
