remember way back when i featured my guest blogger nicole
and her fabulous idea of a family rules canvas?
(sorry i didn't have a better pic!)
and then i made my own?
well, it has been so much fun seeing so many of yours!
thank you to all of you who have added your link to the comment sections of those posts
or have emailed me links.
it is amazing how each of you have taken that original idea and totally made it your own!
so i'm thinkin' about some linkin'.
who's up for a linky party for the family rules canvas?
if you haven't made one yet,
i'll leave this linky open extra long so you can get off your duff and make your own -
you won't be sorry!
i can't wait to see all the pretty canvases all lined up together!

YES! This is the gentle push I need. I remember seeing your post on this a long time ago and I LOVED it. It's funny because I know I bookmarked it and looked at it many times. But I forgot it was your blog, even though I read your blog regularly... I was new at the time I saw your Family Rules post. I bought a canvas and painted it, but then... nothing.
ReplyDeleteNOW... I am excited to get it done so I can link up.
Thank you.
I love the family rule canvas idea!! This on my to do list! This will help me get started!! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is new to me but it is great. 'Brings such color and whimsy to a room but also says so much!
ReplyDeletehaha mine is a little different but it's the same concept! Just not 'family rules' it's 'Audrey chores' I plan on making more ;) Just haven't had time!
ReplyDeleteOh wow...is that your kitchen?? I know I hound you incessantly about paint names...so I hate to break it to you but I'm not quitting that bad habit anytime soon. :-)
ReplyDeleteI was seriously just about to post pics of my kitchen asking for help picking wall color now that we have painted our cabinets white.
And blue is one of my finalists...which blue of course would be the bigger question. I love yours. But would like to know something. Is your countertop black? Mine is a deep green with specks of gray and gold etc...but mostly a deep grayish green. So that's why I have been "skeered" of pulling the trigger on the hue of blue. Could you share that color name?
LOVE LOVE LOVE the family rules...so gonna do this. And steal some of those rules. ;-)
Thanks for saying you will be leaving this link party up extra long because I haven't finished my canvas yet. It's only been months! Because I can't decide on which fonts I want I have told myself that I like it with just the paper. But now I think it's time to bite the bullet and just pick out some fonts!! I blogged about it here:

if you want to take a look!
Thank you so much for the wonderful idea! I get compliments on it all the time! We've just moved to Florida and I can't wait to hang it on the wall of our new home <3
ReplyDeletei am new to following your blog and really enjoy your ideas. thinking of ordering something here soon. :) as for you family rules...so cute. can you tell how you did it? fabric obviously but how did you get the words on it?
ReplyDeletethanks

monica - i used iron on transfer paper, like you'd use on a t-shirt. mine was made from fabric, but most people made the wiser choice and used paper, which was easier.
ReplyDeleteMonica I was short on time so I made mine in Photoshop with digital scrapbooking supplies than had it printed on canvas with a printing company. I'm sure you could use just about any photo editing software with some cute (and free) digital scrapbooking supplies.
ReplyDeleteFor those of us that are so so so craft-challenged, would you consider making them and selling them in your shop?
